Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Starting the day with an early morning swim, then a drive to Coral Gables to see the world famous Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida. The garden is named for David Fairchild (1869-1954), who visited every continent in the world (except Antarctica) and brought hundreds of important plants back to the U. S., including mangos, alfalfa, nectarines, dates, cotton, bamboos and the flowering cherry trees that grace Washington D.C. What an amazing place! I took the following photographs there.
